“Yet when we help one group, we often help them all.”

I truly believe that win/win can be the rule, not the exception. It’s only war and past traumas that keep us from seeing that.

What is frustrating, however, is that it is so difficult for 501c3 organizations to lobby Congress and other elected representatives for better laws and meaningful action. They are always at risk of losing their tax-exempt status.

Let’s hope that in the future nonprofits have a few more seats at the table, and a louder voice when it comes to making systemic change.
